As a longstanding tradition in the greater Seattle area, we were approached by Seafair to conceptualize a seasonal campaign for five signature events. Working with the organization’s marketing director, we were tasked with creating a look that would engage a younger audience, including families.
The final project featured a dynamic color palette and customized doodles, allowing us to create five distinct event identities while maintaining a cohesive identity. The campaign’s strength came through as the scope of work expanded to include posters, social media graphics, digital and print ads, event signage, as well as a xx-page commemorative program. A style guide was provided to a number of Seafair’s partners, including Safeway, who successfully applied the brand to their own in-store, online, and print activations.
Ultimately, Seafair reported a 30% increase in ticket sales and event registrations. The campaign was given recognition by the Washington Festivals and Events Association’s Summit Awards and Davey Awards. Two additional designers contributed to this project.
